The Oyster and Mussel Tour departs from Norra Hamnen (the North Harbour) in Lysekil. You travel by Signe, our locally built wooden boat from 1952, to the mussel farm where we show you how mussels are grown and harvested. We collect some mussels to cook and eat together later in the day, on the beautiful rocks by the sea. Signe then takes us to one of the few oyster beds in Bohuslän. We pick oysters and learn more about this delicacy at a very special and unique place in Bohuslän. Right underneath the boat is where the famous and exclusive oysters Ostrea Edulis grow. We talk about everything connected to oysters, and offer the opportunity to try them.

We stop off at Käringeholmen island, where we cook our mussels and open the oysters, and enjoy them by the shore. After an unforgettable experience in an amazing environment, we take you back to Lysekil, accompanied by the relaxing sound of Signe’s engine.

Lodging in one of our villas, a hot drink at check-in, anwonderful 2-course dinner at our own restaurant Fröken Fridhem and a lovely breakfast buffet is included in this package.

Please note:

The boat tour depart on Fridays and Saturdays at 12.30 and take about 2.5-3 hours.

We reserve the right to cancel the tour in the event of extremely severe weather or in the event of a fully booked tour.

We will of course return to our affected guests as soon as possible after the booking if the tour should be fully booked.

We always offer an alternative activity if the boat trip has to be cancelled.

Dinner is served in our bistro restaurant Fröken Fridhem which is located at Strandflickornas Havshotell.

You choose between two starters and two main course from a package menu. Please let us know if you have any allergies.

Children (ages 5-14) choose a main course from the children's menu (pre-booking required) and ice cream for dessert.
